Arabian horses with theirblack, grey, red-brown or chestnut brown coats are a particularly noble sight. Arabian horses were bred by Bedouins and lived with the families in the desert – sometimes they even slept in their tents! Today these remarkable horses can be recognised by their tails and head form. Almost all horse breeds go back to an Arabian bloodline, as Arabian horses were crossed in order to pass on certain characteristics such as speed, endurance and a disposition for healthy bones to other breeds. Arabians are characterised by a readiness of mind and a willingness to cooperate, as well as alertness and temperament. The versatile Arabian often wins at endurance competitions and is a popular breed worldwide.

Fun fact: In competition Arabians can cover almost 160 kilometers a day.

Schleich products are made of various plastics and dyes, which are carefully selected to meet the respective requirements. Most typically plastics used are polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), in addition to other plastics typical for toys. Even the material suppliers are subject to strict controls by our quality officers. The dyes used are optimally adapted to the different types of plastic and demonstrate top-rate mechanical and chemical resistance. They ensure the high durability of Schleich products and make all Schleich pieces saliva and sweat proof as well as abrasion-resistant, and thus ensure that they are completely safe for playing with. Only once a product meets fully all international laws, standards and guidelines for toys is it released for production. All Schleich articles and materials comply with the national and international toy requirements applicable worldwide, as well as the new European Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and DIN EN 71.

We love Schleich’s realistic animal figures, a quality toy that stimulates the child’s imagination as well as teaching them about animals and wildlife.
